RequiredJob Description:We are seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee the Critical Care and Telemetry Unit. This Manager will work under the direction and guidance of the department Director. The Manager is responsible for the direction and administration of the department(s) and promotes the provision of compassionate, high-quality health services through collaboration with staff, physicians, hospital departments, and community agencies. This position requires employees to demonstrate initial and annual competencies in critical care and telemetry to remain in the role. The Manager is responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the Director.Responsibilities:Plan, implement, and evaluate services that promote positive patient outcomes resulting in safe, efficient, quality care/service.Ensure that services are provided in accordance with professional practice acts and standards, agency policies and procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.Administer, monitor, and document medications and treatments within the scope of practice.Monitor and report expected and adverse reactions to treatments, procedures, and medications.Collaborate in the development and implementation of the multidisciplinary treatment plan.Share essential information with health care team members through documentation and verbal communication.Contribute to a positive and professional environment.The Ideal Candidate:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or Bachelor of Science (BS) in a health-related field. Certification required within six months of hire.Must have Registered Nurse license from Maryland or Compact State.A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a supervisory/charge nurse role.Knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Direct Staffing Inc
