Our department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Senior Accountant. The purpose of this position will be to perform general accounting, reporting and analysis; and provide business and staff group support. This position requires the ability to understand multiple processes and analyze large volumes of detailed transactions in a global manufacturing environment. The individual must have the interpersonal skills to complete projects on time in coordination with multiple departments. This individual must also have the skills necessary to interact with various levels of management.Key Responsibilities
Analyze and reconcile numerous balance sheet accountsPrepare benefit plan financial statements and coordinate audit activities to complete annual DOL/ERISA filingsPrepare journal entries as required in a complex accounting environmentProvide support during month-end close and reportingProvide support and coordinate additional year-end closing and reporting requirementsPerform special projects as requiredDemonstrate and ensure a strong customer service commitment within the organizationProvide on-going support for end users in SAPMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3-5 years experiencePositive and enthusiastic attitudeStrong Excel skillsExperience with other business applications including Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint and WordExperience with mainframe accounting applicationsStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsSolid organizational skillsProven analytical skillsStrong decision-making and problem resolution skillsKnowledge of:GAAPCash flowsFinancial ReportingSarbanes-Oxley complianceAdditional Considerations
