The Finance Business Analyst is responsible for supporting multiple lines of business within Brown & Brown Insurance from a financial and operational perspective. The role requires a blended skill set of finance and IT acumen, problem solving prowess, comfort with ambiguity and the ability to think strategically, analytically and creatively.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Partner and resource with the finance team to help create and drive efficiencies to a variety of business scenarios.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.Challenge the status quo. Review current processes and procedures, recommend solutions, and drive best practices.Lead, support and drive to the finish line company initiatives at all levels of the organization.Effectively prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met.Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education.All other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Required:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or IT, or equivalent.Working knowledge of financial accounting.Exposure to the insurance industry.Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including but not limited to Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.Proficient knowledge of the use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, etc.).Ability to travel as needed (up to 15%).
Preferred:3-5 years in an Accounting, Finance or IT position.Workday financials experience.
