This position performs specialized event coordination activities within the NTX and Central Texas regions.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan, coordinate and execute our company's participation in tradeshows and events by working closely with internal teams, vendors and the Regional Marketing Director.Organize special corporate events for the NTX and Central TX offices, including on all event logistics.Create event outlines, coordinating and executing planned events from start to finish.Provide guidance for booking and registration of attendees and arranging travel and accommodations.Collaborate with internal teams to develop objectives to effectively represent our company and offerings at tradeshows.Manage timelines and tight deadlines of tasks prior to event.Maintain records while tracking budget and organization of all functions and event updates.Work with internal teams to develop content for event materials and work with graphics team to produce.Assist in the selection, ordering, and inventory of the promotional materials specific to each event.Effectively follow up, track and measure desired outcomes, and produce regular reporting and/or tasks as needed.Pack and coordinate shipping of tradeshow supplies/materials.Assist with managing onsite execution and wrap-up for events.Lead the development of pre-show, during show and post-show marketing campaigns.Maintain an up-to-date calendar of upcoming tradeshows and events, ensuring timely registration and submission of required materials.Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the event marketing landscape.Attend events when needed.Maintain an on-going inventory of readily available event materials.QUALIFICATIONS:Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills who requires little supervision.Good project management skills, including time management, goal setting, multitasking and prioritization.Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Able to work effectively on multiple simultaneous projects with competing deadlines.Self-motivated, confident, energetic and creative.Collaborative and effective as a team player.Efficient time management.Able to handle stress and remain calm.Professional demeanor and appearance.REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSES:College Degree preferred.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:3+ years of corporate experience, preferably in event planning.Computer skills in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.Excellent verbal and written skills.BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:Experience in the A/E/C industry.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Sit for extended periods of time working on computer.Lifting of 20 lbs. for event items.OWN YOUR FUTURE AT LJA:With more than 55 office locations, and nearly 2,000 employee-owners, LJA is looking for talented people to join our team and grow their future with us.
