Data Governance Analyst

We are hiring a data governance analyst for a client investing heavily in modernizing their data practices. This is someone that thrives in relationship building and enthusiastically gaining buy-in from business stakeholders. You will be instrumental in redefining what data governance means for this organization and the value it can bring to all stakeholders.
About you:
- You believe that data governance should be used to enable the business, not lock it down
- Your business partners love working with you and feel you are more interested in finding a solution then following a process
- You have proven experience with a variety of data governance tools, platforms, and frameworks
- You have experience working in highly regulated industries
- You are bringing a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related business degree. (bonus points for any data governance studies or certs)
About the role:
Assist in the development and implementation of a modern data governance framework that fosters a culture of collaborationSupport the establishment and monitoring of data quality metrics that are of value, we don't want vanity metrics!Identify data quality issues and help create both immediate fixes and long-term solutions.Contribute to the development and upkeep of the data catalog and data lineage documentation.Provide support and insights on data governance best practices and tools.Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to support data governance initiatives and projects.Help ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.Be an active participant in driving data adoption and literacy across the organization.Other questions you may have:
- This is a full time role based in Omaha, NE expected to be onsite
- We are targeting someone mid-sr level with a salary range of $110k-$120k. (They are also open to hiring someone more senior at a higher level salary)
