The Chancellor and Board of Trustees invite applications and nominations of qualified candidates for the position of Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administrative Services. The Vice Chancellor serves as the chief finance officer and reports to the Chancellor. The College seeks a visionary, innovative leader who is committed to the mission of California Community Colleges and has demonstrated their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.The PositionReporting to the Chancellor, the Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administrative Services has leadership responsibilities and oversight for District-wide financial planning and management, business operations, risk services, safety, facility planning and management, and other administrative support services. Major responsibilities include:Provide leadership in strategic planning of fiscal accountability, solvency, and sound business practices.Collaborate as an executive team member.Assist in the development of board policies and administrative procedures.Prepare and present regular and accurate financial reports.Plan and prepare the District's annual budget.Ensure efficient accounting functions.Represent the District in statewide and local budget meetings.Provide oversight for all District-wide facility planning and security.Prepare for annual external and regular internal audits.Perform related duties as assigned by the Chancellor.Qualifications and Physical DemandsMinimum QualificationsA Master's degree from an accredited institution and one year of formal training, internship or leadership experience related to the administrative assignment. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students and employees.Desirable QualificationsFive years of successful financial administrative experience in an educational institution. Experience supervising and managing multiple departments. Knowledge of California community college funding mechanisms and financial principles.Conditions of EmploymentStart Date: July 1, 2022. This is a contract, full-time, 12-month, Executive Level position.
