Care’s mission is to provide access to quality health care for Los Angeles County's vulnerable and low-income communities and residents.The enterprise Portfolio Management Office (ePMO) is accountable for intake, execution, and managing the oversight of strategic programs and projects approved by L.A. Care (LAC) Leadership and the Board of Governors. The Portfolio Delivery team is responsible for ensuring the timely execution of programs and projects on the enterprise portfolio developed in support of LAC's strategic direction.Duties

Establish delivery priorities related to assigned enterprise portfolio projects and associated project timelines, providing oversight of capital and operating delivery budgets.Enforce ePMO established project management methodology for effective project execution.Manage the demand and capacity of assigned team and area of responsibility.Serve as the first point of escalation for program/project issues impacting delivery targets.Oversee and manage project teams and/or programs against defined objectives, timelines, and budgets.Responsible for increasing employee engagement and morale year over year.Develop goals, objectives, and action plans for assigned staff.Perform other duties as assigned.Education Required

Bachelor's Degree (In lieu of degree, equivalent education and/or experience may be considered).Education Preferred

Master's DegreeExperience

Required:

Minimum 7 years of Project Management, Program Management, Health Care Administration, or related experience, with 5 years of management or leadership experience.Experience in managing, motivating, mentoring staff and conflict resolution.Knowledge of managed care health insurance programs, particularly in Medicaid and Medicare managed care.Skills

Required:

Well versed in project management processes, strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Ability to manage priorities across multiple teams/projects in a fast-paced environment.Licenses/Certifications Preferred
