Experienced data management specialist to facilitate the processing of large amounts of data in various forms.The candidates for this position should be able to perform the following duties:
Design, development, implementation, and management of automatic data processing infrastructure for large databases;Design, build, and maintain their customized databases, within a mature integrating system;Develop and improve the infrastructure supporting these systems;Formal Education (minimum: bachelor's in life sciences, physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science);Strong knowledge of Perl, including the use of standard Perl modules and object-oriented Perl;Experience with Linux/UNIX and scripting in that OS;Experience with automatic data processing pipelines;Familiarity with high performance computing;Effective verbal and written communication skills;Desired Skills:
Experience with SQL;Knowledge of genetics, especially human genetics;Experience with grid computing (LSF, SunGrid, etc.);Experience with C/C++;Experience with XML/XSLT and related web based tools;
