The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and independently, with a strong capacity for initiative, problem-solving, and project follow-through.Duties:Represent clients in special education matters, including attending IEP meetings and advocating for appropriate services and accommodations.Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding special education laws, regulations, and procedures.Handle due process complaints and administrative hearings related to special education disputes.Assist clients in navigating disciplinary actions and appeals within the educational system.Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare case materials as needed.Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on case management and strategy.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.Experience practicing law, with a focus on special education law preferred.Proven experience attending IEP meetings and handling due process complaints.Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.Excellent research, writing, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving abilities, and project management skills.Prior experience in education law or related fields is a plus.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of California.Skills:Specialized knowledge in special education law.Proficiency in legal research and writing.Strong communication and advocacy skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Capacity for problem-solving and critical thinking.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
