Job Description - Patient Care Associate/PCA - Cardiac Surgical Stepdown (3298641)Sign on Bonus Available for this opportunity!!Patient Care Associate - Cardiac Surgical Stepdown Unit - Ellison 8Why This Role Is Important?Ellison 8 is a thirty-six bed adult Cardiac Surgical Step Down Unit. Patients are primarily admitted post-operatively from the Blake 8 - Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Patients are also admitted pre-op for cardiac surgery. Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, aortic disease, congenital heart disease, lethal arrhythmias, S/P coronary bypass graft, S/P valve replacement, ACID placement, and permanent pacemaker placement. Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.

Must have recent experience and/or training in clinical patient care.Preferred:

Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire,
