Weston & Sampson is seeking a Team Leader with 15-25 years of experience in any of our Massachusetts offices. This position will have experience in public utility / wastewater / water engineering, with a specialized emphasis on wastewater collection, conveyance, and pumping station design and construction.

What you’ll do:

The Team Leader will be responsible for developing and leading a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff to meet client deliverables, reporting to and directly assisting the Regional Manager.

Pursue new work opportunities through established client relationships, capture planning and market sector awareness.

The candidate will be expected to be flexible in terms of handling multiple assignments, work directly with clients to understand needs and develop project opportunities, and lead the team in the design of project deliverables, as well as participating in company sponsored training programs, seminars, and conferences as may be necessary.

Provide guidance and mentoring to our project teams during the performance of planning studies, design engineering, and construction projects using recognized industry standards and regulatory-compliant approaches.

Lead our project teams to perform field evaluation and assessment of existing facilities and features.

Support the process of public bidding, contract execution, and construction administration for our projects.

Supervise, train, and mentor project managers and junior engineering staff.

Participate in competitive pursuits, including proposal development and interviews / presentations.

Participate in professional organizations and technical committees.

Collaborate and build strong working relationships with internal multi-disciplinary teams.

What you will bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental engineering, with preference for Masters’ degree.

15-25 years of related civil engineering and production support experience and certification as a Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, or with the ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire.

Preferred work experience will include design/rehabilitation of wastewater collection systems, interceptors and pump stations.

Demonstrated leadership experience and successful teamwork.

Exemplary communication skills, including the verbal, written, and public presentation domains.

Working proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Valid driver’s license required.
