Description:A fast growing Semiconductor Distributor is immediately looking for a field applications engineer to support their customers using Cavium Networks products. This is a high visibility, independent contributor position for uniquely qualified applicants.
In this position, you will provide pre and post-sales technical support to customers using Cavium Networks products with a focus on enterprise/consumer networking and security applications. This includes presentation of technical material at customer meetings, demonstration of embedded networking/security products, and software development tools. Must be adept at working with customers at all levels, technical discovery of customer needs, solution recommendations, and managing many customer engagements simultaneously.Requirements:Knowledge or experience in:CPU architecture, multi-CPU/SMP architecture and programmingNetworking/security protocols, software, systems, and equipmentC programming, troubleshooting, performance analysis in embedded LinuxLinux OS internals, device drivers, bin utils, and C librariesGood knowledge of GNU tool chain, Gcc, GdbEmbedded systems development and debugging techniquesApplicant must be able to successfully work remotely, be able to contact and follow up with customers independently; sometimes cold calling.
