Position and Responsibilities Overview

Work as a team with assigned Project Manager or Senior Project ManagerAssist with and/or perform responsibilities and tasks as delegated by the assigned Project ManagerManage contractual agreements/purchase orders with owners, contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers.Understand and comply with all safety processes and procedures.Learn and become proficient user of Viewpoint/Vista project management software.Participate in water treatment and testing.Review water test results and analyze.Update RK Water compliance logs weekly and monthlyInform customers and permit holders of test results and compliance statusEnsure daily project documentation is completed and up to date, including timecards, daily reports, additional work authorizations, receiving documents, as-built drawings, etcCoordinate timely job procurement through buy-out on materials and equipment, in conjunction with the superintendent and purchasing department.Develop change order pricing as necessary.Buy-out, negotiate and issue all lower-tier subcontract(s), with emphasis on complete scopes in compliance with the contract documents and within the established budget.Responsible for proper/timely processing of shop drawings, product submittals, operation and maintenance manuals, and recording all as-built drawings.Review and monitor labor costs, hours, and projections with superintendent(s).Responsible for initiating, overseeing, and verifying billings.Ensure that change orders requests are processed in accordance with proper procedures, and that the superintendent has information required for implementation.Ensure change orders are processed on time and are properly documented.Coordinate and track material take-offs, pricing, procurement and release of materials.Provide assistance for project projections for estimated costs required for completion of project.Responsible for job closeout being performed in proper and efficient manner and keeping the project team informed of closeout status.Optimize the profitability of the company by demonstrating the ability of a decision maker with reliable and mature judgment.

Mostly Indirect supervision.Highly skilled and fully competent in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area.Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standards.Devises new solutions to difficult problems encountered.Independently performs most assignments with little instructionReceives guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards.3-5 years of experience in a related position.College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles.Career Level: Project Engineer 2

Indirect supervision.Fully competent in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area.Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standards.Devises new solutions to problems encountered.Independently performs most assignments with minor instructionReceives guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards.1-2 years of experience in a related position.College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles.Career Level: Project Engineer 1

Direct and Indirect supervision.Competent in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area.Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standards.Independently performs most assignments with instructionReceives guidance for different problems and supervisor reviews for quality of work0-1 years of experience in a related position.College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles.

Minimum Physical Requirements

Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.Work in all types of weather.Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
