1Position Summary:Incumbent performs the full range of cardiac diagnostic ultrasound procedures and the more complex specialized procedures on adult and pediatric patients. This includes M-mode, 2 & 3 dimensional, color Doppler, pulsed Doppler, continuous wave Doppler, transesophageal echo, pharmacological and exercise stress echo, Holter monitors, and ECGs. Recognizes and describes abnormal findings and tailors the procedure to provide a comprehensive exam. The cardiac sonographer makes the decision as to when an echo contrast agent &/or agitated saline injections according to the CVC policy. Will prepare and position patients, adjust equipment to best demonstrate area of interest, operate various stationary and portable equipment and imaging systems. Will rotate shifts and assignments as needed, including after hour on-call. The Sr. Ultrasound Technologist assists in the training of fellows and students as assigned. Also, this position will require traveling between all cardiology off-site clinics where procedures are being performed.Total CompensationIn addition to the salary range listed below, we offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
