SENIOR PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE .Future Salary Increases** July 2024 - 5.88% increase to base pay (2.75% Across-the-Board + 3.13% Market Increase)Senior Public Health Nurses perform professional public health nursing in homes, public health centers, and other community settings. As a Senior Public Health Nurse, you will act as a lead nurse providing consultation, conducting home visits in urban and rural communities, assessing and identifying individual and community health needs, and providing case management to high-risk populations.

Required education and experience:Valid California Registered Nurse License is required at time of appointment; AND,Valid Public Health Nurse Certificate from the California State Board of Registered Nursing is required at time of appointment; AND,A Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency, AND,

Three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital or clinic, or public health nursing field; OR,

A Master of Science degree in nursing from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency, AND,

Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital or clinic, or public health nursing field.
