The Sustainability Manager will manage the direction and implementation of PECO’s sustainability program and is a key contributor to set and reach the environmental sustainability goals. This role will act as subject matter expert (SME) on PECO’s sustainability programs and will collaborate with and provide support to key internal Operations stakeholders. The position will report to the VP of ESG & Corporate Responsibility.Responsibilities:Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute PECO’s sustainability strategy and achieve short- and long-term goals.Build sustainability principles into short- and long-range business planning, capital planning, operations planning, and carbon accounting.Research and monitor sustainability issues, concerns, or stakeholder interests and develop strategies to address those issues.Contribute to the ongoing collection, management, and analysis of all quantitative and qualitative information to be audited and included in financial and non-financial disclosures.Manage ongoing ESG reporting and disclosures, including GRESB and CDP to identify gaps and track areas of opportunities for enhancing performance.Develop guidance, practices, and tools to facilitate implementation of:Low carbon and sustainable design, construction in development and redevelopment projects.Low carbon and sustainable operations and maintenance in the existing portfolio.Healthy/Green buildings strategy.Build effective partnerships with external organizations to support the Company’s sustainability efforts.Requirements and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Business, or Environment Studies required.Minimum 5 years’ experience in energy services, energy consulting, sustainability, and/or facilities management.Deep understanding of sustainability rating systems such as LEED, BREEAM, FitWell, and WELL Building Standards.Knowledge of carbon accounting and fluency in the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP) and carbon scopes 1, 2, and 3.Experience with various ESG standards and frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, SASB, UNSDG, and CDP preferred.Experience in environmental initiatives, sustainability, conservation or related function in a business environment preferred.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Employee must have the physical capability to perform all core functions of the position.
