Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years equivalent work experience.Diplomacy, tact, supervisory skills, and maintaining confidentiality are essential.Must plan and prioritize, use initiative, and resolve problems.Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.Knowledge of ADP system and software.Good written and oral communication skills.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Flexibility to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced atmosphere with accuracy.Must work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives.Conduct background and credit checks and employee eligibility verifications.Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates.Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.Improve job satisfaction by promptly addressing concerns, implementing new benefits, and organizing team-building activities.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance.Will be the first point of contact for employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.Monitor employee morale and company culture.Identify future staffing needs.Perform exit interviews and provide suggestions for improvement if needed.Requirements
