IT Battle Captains with IT Services and customer liaison background.The Digital Modernization Sector is focused on delivering performance-based IT services and repeatable solutions to include applying cloud-factory and aaS (as a Service) capabilities and integrating commercial products to provide a comprehensive digital engineering approach to IT transformation. Begin your journey of a flourishing and meaningful career, share your resume with us today!The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. The major support areas are IT Operations and Maintenance; Plans, Projects, and Engineering (PP&E). The senior directors and national defense missions that are supported require that the AFNCR operations never fail, resulting in a fast-paced, taxing, but also rewarding environment.The IT Battle Captain works with the Government Service Owners to deliver top-notch customer service and respond to the dynamic needs of the user base to meet the diverse missions of the Air Force in the NCR.The Mission:Coordinate across production and functional work centers in the delivery of the full span of IT services across the supported enclaves and geographic locations.Act as a liaison between the 844CG work centers and supporting external service providers.Improve solutions, service delivery and expand capabilities that enable additional missions for supported users.Able to perform tasks within specific timelines with little or no oversight.Good communication skills, written and verbal, to be able to effectively document solutions and obtain requirements from customers.Ability to develop working relationships with Technology vendors and partners.Understanding of relevant IT technologies, both user-facing and back-end infrastructure technologies.Qualifications will vary, but will mostly require:Requires a BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters degree and 6+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience, certifications, specific Air Force IT systems experience accepted in lieu of a degree.Experience operating Air Force IT systems and services.Familiarity with DoD and Air Force standards, policies, and enterprise solutions.Experience with complex, multi-site DoD enterprise IT environments of the size, scale, and scope of the AFNCR enterprise.Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance.You may also have:Master’s Degree in a technology related field.CompTIA Security+ or CISSP.
