The Opportunity:Are you an experienced Senior EMC Storage Engineer looking for a new challenge?We are always seeking EMC Storage Engineers at all levels, ideally senior to align with projects on the horizon.The Leidos Digital Modernization Group has exciting career opportunities waiting for you as we are continuously seeking EMC Storage Engineers in support of the Air Force National Capital Region IT Services program. Join the Leidos AFNCR IT Services program and support the 844th Communications Group at three locations: Joint Base Anacostia Bolling (JBAB), Joint Base Andrews (JBA), and The Pentagon.You will be tasked with supporting the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) and Headquarters Air Force (HAF) customers on NIPRNet and SIPRNet domains.As one of the Senior EMC Storage Engineer team members, you will:Primary Responsibilities:Collaborate with Engineers to identify, assess, and present solution options for meeting the functional and technical requirements, which may include hardware and/or software.Develop documentation for System Installation Plans and System Administration Guides.Provide transparent and regular status updates in requested format to internal and external stakeholders.Install, configure, and troubleshoot storage and backup systems (i.e., storage arrays, SAN switches, backup software, and backup arrays).Document and enforce hardware standards.Manage and maintain IP addressing schema.Perform security hardening, patching and server certificate updates.Perform other tasks as directed by Lead Engineers or Project Manager.Education and Experience:Requires Masters with 15+ years of prior relevant experience or Doctorate with 13+ years of prior relevant experience; additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.Experience with EMC storage, Cisco SAN switches, Avamar, Data Domain.Currently possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.Ability to work objectively and effectively in a collaborative team environment while keeping the team informed.Excellent customer-facing skills.Excellent researching, decision-making, and organizational skills are required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Visio.Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and other guidelines where appropriate.Required Certifications:Must possess an active DoD 8570, IAT Level II Certification.EMC storage certifications are highly desired.Desired Skills and Certifications:Experience with VMware vSAN.
