seeks candidates for Physical Therapist at California Children's Services. Incumbents are responsible for administering medically necessary physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians to children with neuromuscular and/or musculoskeletal disorders.The

San Diego Sheriff's Department

seeks candidates for Physical Therapist located in a detention facility. Incumbents are responsible for developing rehabilitative programs and assisting incarcerated individuals.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSLicensed as a Physical Therapist with the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Physical Therapy Board of California or be in the process of obtaining licensure in California.Note:

If hired, graduates of accredited or approved schools of physical therapy that have filed an application for a license with PTBC must obtain their license within six (6) months from the time of hire, or be terminated from County Service. Physical therapy applicants, who are licensed Physical Therapists in another state besides California, must show proof of application for licensure as a physical therapist with the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Physical Therapy Board of California.

A valid National Provider Identification Number (NPI) is required at the time of employment. Incumbents are required to maintain the NPI throughout employment in this class.WORKING CONDITIONSIncumbents may be in contact with violent, contagious, or unpredictable patients. Incumbents will be required to make periodic visits to clients' homes.CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENTAs part of the County of San Diego’s pre-employment process, prospective candidates will undergo a background check (including fingerprinting) and a pre-employment medical screening prior to beginning County employment.EVALUATION PROCESSQualified applicants will be placed on a
