Collect and analyze data to determine production costs by performing the following:Variance AnalysisCost of Goods Sold AnalysisStandard Costing AnalysisOverhead & Labor Rate CalculationInventory Valuation AnalysisAd-hoc financial analysisAssist Controllers by preparing financial reports and providing recommendations based on available data.Assist Controllers with cost accounting analysis as needed.Demonstrate understanding of BOM & Routings for cost validation.Assist with part number cost rolls and releasing manufacturing orders when requests align with cost accounting procedures.Maintain process and procedural documentation for Cost Accounting functions.Ensure cross-training of Cost Accounting processes and procedures across all sites within scope.Oversee the homogeneity of methods and processes for all cost accountants, in the central team as well as those who report to site controllers/division CFO.Provide monthly analysis and reporting to management on inventories and costs of goods for each facility and for the whole company Cabin Inc.Perform period closing activities, journal entries, and GL account analysis.Perform account reconciliations to drive accuracy in inventory cycles and review with Controllers at Balance Sheet Review meetings.Perform Error Clearing to ensure accurate transaction posting to general ledger.Perform Annual Cost roll with multi-week validations, organize and schedule simulations before go live.Complete annual update of ERP with Overhead & Labor Rate Calculations supplied by Controllers.Assist with physical inventory audits as requested by sites.Assist as required with special projects.Provide internal and external audit support as requested by gathering backup, preparing reports, and presenting findings to audit teams and management.Complementary Description

The cost accountant is responsible for all divisions within Safran Cabin Inc. and Cabin Materials. This position reports to the department Manager.The expected salary range for this position is between $72,670 - $114,200 USD. Education: Bachelor's or Master's DegreeExperience: 7+ years' experience in an accounting/controlling department for a large manufacturer.Computer Skills:Strong demonstrated use of Windows Operating System.Thorough understanding/use of Microsoft Office products including: Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Advanced knowledge/use of Microsoft Excel.Other Skills:Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics.Understanding of organizational accounting concepts.In-depth knowledge of financial guidelines and regulations.Strong financial analysis skills.Ability to perform risk and security assessments.Excellent attention to detail.Effective verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills.Ability to collaborate with other different functions and foster teamwork.Provides mentoring and coaching to junior cost accountant employees.Handles the most complex issues.Possesses expert knowledge of subject matter.Detail-oriented and accuracy are mandatory.Synthesis and analysis capabilities.Works with a great deal of autonomy and initiative, while also being a team player.Proactive and takes the lead in proposing, managing, and implementing all continuous improvement initiatives.Additional Preferred Skills: (not required)Relevant CertificationM3 ProficiencyDescription: Senior-level position within the field.
