Our exciting client seeks an experienced commercial lender to join their growing financial institution. This key position will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a real estate-focused commercial loan portfolio, developing new business, and underwriting, structuring, and re-structuring commercial loans.Roles & Responsibilities:Prospect new and existing commercial loansManage a portfolio of assigned commercial relationshipsInterview applicants to determine loan requirements and gather pertinent information for loan applicationsAnalyze applicants' financial status, credit, and asset evaluation to determine the feasibility of loanStructure loans within MBL loan policyPrepare and present new loan approval requests, annual reviews, modifications, and extensions to the appropriate approval authorityReview loan documentation before closing for completeness and acceptance by the applicantEnsure timely loan closings and funding activitiesMaintain a positive working relationship with members, credit union staff, local professionals, centers of influence, community organizations, etc.Structure or re-structure loans to support the business while minimizing risk to the credit unionWork out defaulted loansPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills and Experience:5+ years of similar or related experience and a minimum high school degreeReal estate lending experienceExcellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbalExperience with Microsoft Office and solid Excel skills.
