Team OverviewGlobal Fund & Accounting Services: Alternatives Operations supports Alternative Investments (AI) and over $110B in assets globally. AI takes a dynamic approach to alternative investments, crafting investment vehicles that increasingly capitalize on evolving opportunities in fast-changing markets. We offer clients strategies designed to provide returns with low correlations to the broad equity and bond markets, including private equity, real estate equity and debt, hedge funds of funds, single strategy hedge funds, long-only absolute return strategies, commodities and structured products. Our alternative investment capabilities are fully coordinated within the platform, allowing investment teams to capitalize on the firm’s considerable resources in areas such as risk management, product development, client service and operational support. This role contributes to a team focusing on private credit vehicles investing primarily in bank loans and bonds with some private equity involved as well.Role ResponsibilityLead all aspects of portfolio valuation processes for private credit and related equity valuations, working closely with investment professionals, third-party services and trade desk personnel to ensure timely and accurate valuation determination and reportingEnsure consistency, accuracy and propriety of valuation methodologies, assumptions and practicesConduct valuation committee meetings, leading discussions of valuation reports and pricingMaintain documentation of valuation policies, rationales, processes, overrides and policy exceptionsCoordinate with external auditors on quarterly reviews and year-end auditsRun SOX processes with regards to valuations, which includes completing documentation of requirements, processes and testingFormulate impairment and write-off analysesMaintain vendor relationships, conduct periodic vendor reviews and perform diligence on new and existing vendorsPerform or review periodic tests on pricing qualityExecute other ad hoc responsibilities as assignedExperience

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or similar; MAcc or MBA preferredMinimum 5 years’ experience, including direct experience and displayed knowledge in ASC 820 valuationsCPA or CFA preferredValidated attention to detail and organizational skillsExecution under pressureAbility to work independently with minimal direct supervision
