Job Description - Registered Nurse (RN), Oncology (3259314)Registered Nurse (RN), Oncology - (3259314)Seeking an experienced RN for a 36 bed adult inpatient Solid Tumor Oncology Unit.The RN is responsible for assuring competent, compassionate, individualized nursing care for specific patients and families, including delegation to and supervision of non-professional clinical and support staff.The RN is responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of a designated group of patients. She/he collaborates with the Nursing Director and members of the Patient Care Team to achieve optimal Patient outcomes. She/he also collaborates with the patient toward meeting the needs and expectations of the patient and family.Staff nurses ensure that care is safe, efficient, effective, timely, and meets the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic needs of each patient and family.As Registered Nurses (RNs) at Massachusetts General Hospital, our every action is guided by knowledge, enabled by skill, and motivated by compassion. Bachelor’s degree in nursing strongly preferred.Current licensure in Massachusetts as a registered nurse is required.Preferred oncology RN experience, but would consider 3-5 years of medical RN experience.Must be able to work a day/night rotation.You contribute to our success.
