Job Description - Registered Nurse (RN), Cardiac Interventional Unit, 24 hours (3292085)

We are seeking a passionate, skilled and experienced RN to join the Ellison 11 team!

Ellison 11 is a 36-bed unit specializing in the care of patients with acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, heart failure and other vascular diagnoses. You will provide competent nursing care based on scientific principles and the use of nursing process and a primary nursing model.

The staff nurse is responsible and accountable for:

Assuring proficient, compassionate care for specific patients and their families, including delegation to and supervision of non-professional and support staff.

The overall nursing care management of a designated group of patients.

Collaborating with the primary physician, APPs, members of the patient care team, support staff and nurse manager to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.

Providing leadership through activities such as preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.

Patient care delivery model is primarily RNs and NPs on this unit.

Minimum Qualifications:

BSN strongly preferred and current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts is required.

Previous staff nurse experience in an acute care hospital, minimum of 1-2 years of experience, Cardiac experience strongly preferred.

Must be able to work day/night rotation including every 3rd weekend and holidays.
