Job Description / Primary ObjectiveWe are looking to develop a senior planner into a department leader. This position provides the opportunity to lead an award-winning planning/urban design department with a wide range of exciting projects, including TODs, specific plans, planning and design for mass transit and transportation projects, master plans, design standards/guidelines, campus projects, revitalization plans, streetscape projects, and community plans for both public and private sectors.Position requires experience/expertise in:Hands-on project management of a small staffDay-to-Day Administration including invoicing, contracts, and office managementBusiness development in California and proposal writingLand use/urban planning/designStrong physical design and policy planningExcellent writing and communication skillsInnovative outreach and consensus buildingActive TransportationGruen Associates is an award-winning international planning, urban design, architecture, transportation, and landscape architecture firm, headquartered in Los Angeles for over 75 years.
