Seeking a Private Equity Fund Accountant to join a global investment management firm located in Boston! This individual will be responsible for coordinating internal functions and overseeing the work of external service providers related to all aspects of treasury and fund accounting. The Private Equity Fund Accountant will require 1-3 years of fund accounting experience and be fully vaccinated and boosted against the COVID-19 virus.
Position Responsibilities:Provide oversight of the external fund administrator's books including journal entries, accruals, and fee calculationsMonitor and reconcile cash activityCoordinate period-end timelines for closing of books and investor reportingManage the approval and processing of wire paymentsLead the valuation process for certain assetsTrack ongoing and anticipated expenses and assist with budgeting projectionsPrepare and review materials and responses to follow-up requests during the annual audit and tax processesAssist in ad hoc projects
Position Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience in fund accountingFully vaccinated and boosted for the COVID-19 virusFluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish a plusExceptional written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized with a keen attention to detailAbility to prioritize conflicting needs in a fast-paced deadline driven environmentUtilize discretion when handling confidential informationTeam player who can work cross functionally with limited supervisionSkilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and CRM systems
