Seeking a Private Equity Fund Accountant to join a global investment management firm located in Boston! This individual will be responsible for coordinating internal functions and overseeing the work of external service providers related to all aspects of treasury and fund accounting. The Private Equity Fund Accountant will require 1-3 years of fund accounting experience and be fully vaccinated and boosted against the COVID-19 virus.
Position Responsibilities: Provide oversight of the external fund administrator's books including journal entries, accruals, and fee calculations Monitor and reconcile cash activity Coordinate period-end timelines for closing of books and investor reporting Manage the approval and processing of wire payments Lead the valuation process for certain assets Track ongoing and anticipated expenses and assist with budgeting projections Prepare and review materials and responses to follow-up requests during the annual audit and tax processes Assist in ad hoc projects
Position Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience in fund accounting Fully vaccinated and boosted for the COVID-19 virus Fluency in Portuguese and/or Spanish a plus Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with a keen attention to detail Ability to prioritize conflicting needs in a fast-paced deadline driven environment Utilize discretion when handling confidential information Team player who can work cross functionally with limited supervision Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and CRM systems
