OverviewWorld Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Director of Employee Giving and Engagement.

Major Function

The Director leads WWF's employee engagement and giving efforts with corporate partners, focusing on the continued growth and development of the employee giving program, elevating key corporate sustainability issues to build momentum within companies around ambitious sustainability goals. This key role builds and maintains relationships with executives at major corporations and executes major employee engagement and giving campaigns.

Responsibilities

Builds on, elevates and executes the strategy to grow WWF's employee engagement and giving efforts to become a partner of choice for a priority set of high-impact, highly-motivated firms.

Annually reviews and refines goals and targets for the employee engagement program for specific industries and companies.

Serves as a leader within WWF’s Engagement Team, providing counsel and executive-level support to the Engagement Team-lead on key projects.

Focuses on priority objectives including expanding WWF’s portfolio of high-value employee giving campaigns through targeted engagement of key corporate decision-makers.

Directs overall employee engagement efforts for the organization, elevating employee interest and energy around key corporate sustainability issues.

Develops successful stewardship strategies to drive seven-to-eight figure employee giving campaigns, focusing on priority sectors like technology and finance.

Identifies major corporate employee giving prospects and key individuals within those companies, developing executive relationships with select corporate partners.

Oversees the ongoing development and optimization of engaging WWF content and materials for employee education, engagement, and giving efforts.

Supervises the Employee Engagement Manager and additional WWF staff and interns as appropriate.

Collaborates with the Fundraising Innovation and Development teams to develop strategic partnerships that enhance employee engagement.

Serves as an internal and external thought leader for WWF's employee engagement program.

Engages WWF legal counsel and business services staff to oversee the successful use and tracking of contracts and agreements.

Interacts daily with a variety of diverse WWF stakeholders including organizational leadership and programmatic issue experts.

Identifies successful workplace engagement and giving trends to improve and evolve offerings.

Performs other duties and takes on other responsibilities as required according to organizational needs.

Qualifications

A master's degree with a minimum of ten years of experience with the private sector in sales, business development, fundraising or relevant experience is required.

Deep experience in the cultivation and solicitation of corporate donors is required.

Confidence and experience working in a complex, global, matrix-based organization.

Able to comfortably engage and influence corporate leaders around WWF’s mission.

Demonstrated successful track record of program/project leadership.

Experience in managing employee giving and engagement campaigns preferred.

Ability to identify opportunities and make informed strategic decisions.

Proven experience in seven-figure fundraising and/or business development.

Experience building successful internal and external relationships with senior executives.

Previous management experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Knowledge of standard development practices and techniques.

Ability to effectively influence and lead others.

This is a hybrid position that requires 2-days minimum in the WWF Washington, DC HQ office.
