POSITION SUMMARY:The candidate for this position will be responsible for handling all phases of pursuing deficiency balances on charged-off accounts through litigation, including civil lawsuits and referral to outside attorney firms for such litigation. This position is responsible for ensuring that each associate in their assigned team meets or exceeds their monthly performance standards and complies with all department/company policies and procedures. The candidate will assist the Consumer Litigation Director with the day-to-day operations of the Consumer Litigation Department.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Excellent problem-solving capabilities, judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to operate autonomously while being a team player who brings a positive attitude to the workplace and works collaboratively with other members of the team.Oversees preparation of legal documents.Trains entry and senior-level employees within the department.Acts as liaison between Westlake and its affiliates, including Consumer Litigation vendors.Runs daily, weekly, and monthly reports to measure department productivity.Reconciles reports to ensure accurate financial and productivity reporting.Prepares legal placement files to outside counsel.Monitors department call flow to ensure proper coverage and operation of call distribution.Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external contacts.Assists the Director with employee productivity through the means of motivation and assistance.Develops and enforces policies, procedures, and productivity standards.Executes various tasks and assignments under the direction of the Director.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & LICENSES:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to create, modify, and run SQL queries.Possess a strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under pressure.Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Able to work independently and in a team environment.Familiarity with basic state and federal collection laws, including the FDCPA.PAY RATE:
Depending on experience - base pay starting at $100,000 per year.The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.BENEFITS
