Description: Now Interviewing for a Neurology residency program director to lead the development and implementation of a new general Neurology residency program. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated leader to be involved in the development of a fully supported and groundbreaking program in a large and recognized dynamic healthcare system.Be clinically active in and have current board-certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Must have documented educational and administrative experience acceptable to the ACGME Neurology Residency Review Committee. Be able to successfully obtain a Florida medical license and a medical staff appointment with the group. Previous experience as a core faculty member, Associate Program Director or Program Director is required. Should also have excellent interpersonal, communication and team building skills. Seeking a clinician who exhibits a passion for medical education, teaching and mentoring.The successful candidate will exhibit a passion for medical education, teaching and mentoring. Responsibilities will include authority over and accountability for the overall operation of the neurology residency program. This includes responsibility for the quality of didactic and clinical education as well as the administration and maintenance of an environment conducive to educating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas.This is also a unique opportunity for qualified candidates to provide clinical medical educational leadership while delivering neurology services within the Memorial Healthcare System. The program director will be provided with the appropriate protected administrative time to operationalize the program.
