Location: Annapolis Junction, MDThe ideal candidate for this level 2 ISSE opportunity will have the following experience:DoD 8570.01–M compliance with IASAE Level 2 is requiredCISSP Certification is requiredCertification that meets Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Tier 2 requirementsFull understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process & proceduresExperience with NIST 800–53 security control implementation and self–testingExperience reviewing vulnerability scansStrong written and oral communication skillsRelevant ISSO, ISSM, and/or ISSE experience in the cybersecurity career fieldExposure to providing technical systems support from the perspective of a System Administration and/or Systems EngineerExperience supporting the Intelligence Community's specific RMF processes and proceduresExperience interpreting Security Directives, Policies, Publications and Regulations and providing guidance on how to apply to System Owners, System Administrators, and System EngineersThe Level 2 Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) shall perform, or review, technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non–compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies. Responsibilities include:Validating and verifying system security requirements definitions and analysisEstablishing system security designsDesigning, developing, implementing and/or integrating IA and security systems and system componentsBuilding IA into systems deployed to operational environmentsAssisting architects and systems developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate information security functionalitySupporting the building of security architecturesEnforcing the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architecturesAssessing and mitigating system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycleContributing to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activitiesReviewing certification and accreditation (C&A) documentationApplying system security engineering expertise in various domainsRequired Skills:Fourteen (14) years experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is requiredBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredDoD 8570.01–M compliance with IASAE Level 2 is requiredCISSP Certification is requiredFour (4) years of ISSE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degreeApply Now
