Division Chief of Pulmonary Medicine Opportunity

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in South Carolina, seeks a Division Chief of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. The Division Chief will lead our growing robust inpatient and outpatient practices while promoting the development of expertise in medical education, complex care, quality and safety, and research. Candidates should have excellent skills and experience in leadership, education, and research to further advance the success of our clinical and academic programs.Candidate Qualifications:Must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree and be BC in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and be eligible for licensure in S.C.Will demonstrate a strong record of scholarship and leadership.Will have strong clinical skills and interest in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.Will have record of research creativity, independence, and productivity.Will show success in developing and maintaining successful inpatient and outpatient interdisciplinary programs.Must be able to build programs that engage diverse communities.Must have demonstrated success in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.Optional:
Candidate must show training and/or competency in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Advanced bronchoscopy procedures (Navigation with ENB and/or Robotic, peripheral, and linear EBUS, placement of endobronchial valves, endobronchial stents and management of complex airways disease).Candidate must demonstrate competency in placement and management of tunneled pleural catheters. Competency in medical thoracoscopy would be a plus.
