A law firm in Fresno, CA, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney and will be responsible for managing a caseload, advising clients, and collaborating with the firm's Criminal Defense Team. This role involves representing clients in various legal matters, attending hearings, preparing for trials, and providing strategic legal advice. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling complex criminal cases and possess exceptional interpersonal skills.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage a diverse caseload of criminal defense cases.Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents related to their cases.Attend pretrial hearings and provide strategic advice to clients after each hearing.Handle court appearances, trials, and draft motions.Interview witnesses and conduct legal research to build and support cases.Analyze probable outcomes of cases based on legal precedents and case law.Accumulate and analyze evidence to support clients’ cases or challenge prosecution charges.Prepare clients for depositions and gather critical information from witnesses and experts.Collaborate with the Criminal Defense Team, including other attorneys and legal assistants.Provide comprehensive legal analysis to determine potential benefits for clients’ cases.Demonstrate a team-oriented approach and be open to strategizing and working with fellow associates.Requirements:Minimum of 4-5 years of criminal defense experience, including handling complex cases at the federal, state, and local levels.Bilingual in Spanish is required.Proven track record of managing high-stakes criminal cases effectively.Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and team members.Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases and manage workloads efficiently.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in California.Skills:Advanced knowledge of criminal law and legal procedures.Proficiency in legal research and case analysis.Excellent drafting and oral communication skills.Ability to strategize effectively and make informed decisions.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Benefits Offered:Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Paid parking.Paid time off.Additional benefits.
