A law firm in Fresno, CA, is seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney and will be responsible for managing their caseload, engaging in client interaction, and collaborating with the Criminal Defense Team of Attorneys and legal assistants. The role involves advising clients on their legal rights, attending pretrial hearings, managing court appearances, and providing strategic legal solutions.Key Duties:Advise clients on their legal rights and draw up legal documents related to their cases.Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and advise them on the best strategies following each hearing.Manage court appearances, trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and performing legal research.Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.Manage a diverse caseload of criminal defense cases.Provide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits.Accrue additional evidence to support clients' cases or for arguments against prosecution charges.Prepare clients for depositions; determine essential goals of case strategy and gather information from witnesses and important experts to support clients' positions.Handle complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels.Work collaboratively with fellow associates, offering help and strategizing as a team.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Bar in any U.S. state, with a preference for California.Experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage a caseload effectively.A team player who is open to collaboration and working with fellow associates.Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.High level of professionalism and ethical standards.Strong research and analytical skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Certifications:Admission to the Bar in any U.S. state (California preferred).Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Benefits:Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Paid parking.Paid time off (PTO) and more.
