The Entry-Level Criminal Defense Attorney will provide legal representation and advice to clients involved in criminal cases. This role consists of managing court appearances, drafting legal documents, and providing strategic advice to clients. The attorney will work closely with senior attorneys and clients to ensure effective legal representation and case management.Duties and Responsibilities:Advise clients on their legal rights and draft legal documents related to their cases.Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide strategic advice following each hearing.Manage court appearances, trials, and the preparation of motions.Conduct interviews with witnesses, perform legal research and analyze case outcomes using legal precedents.Manage a caseload efficiently and provide legal analysis to identify potential case benefits.Accumulate additional evidence to support clients’ cases or challenge prosecution charges.Prepare clients for depositions and determine case strategy goals.Gather information from witnesses and experts to support the client’s position.Requirements:Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active Bar admission (law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered).Demonstrated interest in Criminal Defense law through law school clinics, volunteer work, or internship experience.Record of moving legal cases forward and managing a caseload effectively.Experience with case management software is preferred.Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.Skills:Strong analytical skills and knowledge of legal precedents.Proficiency in drafting legal documents and preparing cases for trial.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.Proficiency in legal research and case management software.Benefits Offered:Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Paid parking.Paid time off.Additional benefits as provided by the firm.
