The J. Individuals of color, women, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.Reporting to the Head of Capital Projects, the Manager of Capital Projects is responsible for the planning and management of the Getty building design and construction of capital projects, including renovation, new construction, and project administration including financial forecasting and budgeting. The manager oversees a team of design and construction consultants, senior project managers in the preparation and execution of the design and architectural programs, procurement and contract documents, and project management administration. The manager assures projects comply with safety and regulatory standards, applicable building codes and conform with the Getty’s overall goals and policies including protection of its real estate, visitors, staff, and cultural property.The successful candidate will be a collaborative manager who demonstrates experience leading capital programs with a strong knowledge of program management; a consensus builder with the ability to inspire confidence and to motivate and persuade diverse groups to work together collectively, in order to meet common objectives; have knowledge of construction practices, and applicable laws and regulations and experience with presentation to internal and external stakeholders; committed to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace; demonstrated experience in budget planning and prioritization of projects, programs, and activities, using sound judgment while meeting organizational requirements; and possessed of results-orientation skills and a commitment to measuring program performance.Requirements:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or related field. A master’s degree, architectural or professional engineering license, and sustainability certification are highly preferred. A minimum of eight to ten years of progressively responsible management and supervisory experience in the area of project management, planning of capital and facilities renewal work and budgeting is required, as is management experience in a higher education or institutional setting with a demonstrated customer service-oriented attitude.Hiring Pay Scale:
$129,724 to $171,892
