This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in the office a minimum of 8 days per month at the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office location.Job Summary:As part of the IT Wealth Management division, the Director of Product Management is responsible for partnering with technology & business unit executives to provide thought leadership, strategic direction, and market analysis to guide growth and operational excellence. Works with Business & Technology leadership on developing strategies for targeted markets that identify the types of technology products and services to offer that create value for advisors, clients, and other stakeholders. The Director will develop the initial requirement for new and revised solutions and technology products. The Director will communicate the strategy to senior management and secure the necessary commitments for development and launch. This role will lead an extended Product Management team within PCG Technology.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Drives IT solutions to ensure they meet the business needs to be balanced with a pragmatic and integrated approach to the design of technical solutions. Able to weigh alternatives, develop approaches, and balance conflicting needs.Delivers enterprise-wide strategic thinking to IT investments to ensure integration is achieved.Leads projects to successful completion as defined by predetermined project success criteria, including those established by the business, capital expenditure, and budget requirements.Influences/determines the prioritization of business unit technology projects, optimal project structure, and project administration to ensure strategic business objectives are met, and risk is managed.Responsible for workforce management to accurately capture IT resource capacity involving resources (internal and/or external), processes, and practices.Partners with senior leaders to assess how technologies can best streamline processes and/or add business value.Remains current on key technology, business, and industry trends.Responsible for budget and annual goals and objectives; holds the organization accountable for attaining goals and objectives.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:Agile and Hybrid development methodologiesProduct management methodologiesProject management methodologiesSkill in:People development and leadershipProduct planning and road mapping tools, such as TFS, JIRA, Microsoft PlannerAbility to:Lead Product Strategy, provide long-term vision and make critical decisions for large-scale projects.Lead and develop product managers, implement processes, and provide support & direction.Partner with development teams to achieve desired outcomes while building relationships.With minimal oversight, develop strategies for new product development and launch.Create and manage Product Roadmaps, perform competitive analysis, and provide expertise.Present to all levels of leadership as well as financial advisors and other customer bases.Use significant judgment on moderate to complex business problems.Provide thought leadership in areas of expertise and learn and adapt to the customer needs.Work well with a team to accomplish the objectives of the department.Creates/maintains a competitive organization by attracting, developing, and retaining talent to ensure people with the right skills & motivations are in the right place at the right time to meet business needs.Builds a cohesive team and develops structure & direction to meet or exceed customer needs.Leverages systems & processes to attract, develop & retain talented individuals.Feedback, empowerment, and coaching are provided to help others excel in current and future job responsibilities.Creates a trusting work environment where people can realize their full potential.Education/Previous Experience:Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of relevant experience, including management or leadership experience or a combination of education, training, and experience.Financial services experience is highly preferred.Licenses/Certifications:None required.Raymond James Guiding BehaviorsAt Raymond James our associates use five guiding behaviors (Develop, Collaborate, Decide, Deliver, Improve) to deliver on the firm's core values of client-first, integrity, independence and a conservative, long-term view.
