Employee Benefits Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will provide counsel to employers on various ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements, including retirement plans and health and welfare plans. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for this role.Duties:Counsel employers on a wide range of ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements.Advise on retirement plans, health, and welfare plans.Draft and review plan documents, including summary plan descriptions and participant communications.Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Provide legal guidance on plan administration and fiduciary responsibilities.Assist with plan corrections and audits.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing employee benefits law.Strong knowledge of ERISA regulations and other relevant laws.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Skills:Expertise in counseling employers on ERISA and non-ERISA plans.Strong understanding of retirement plans, health, and welfare plans.Ability to draft and review complex legal documents.Thorough knowledge of compliance requirements.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
