Our client for the Sr. Sales Manager/Director - Ford opportunity is a global industrial manufacturing company and is ranked in the Global Fortune 500. This organization services customers in a range of industries including, but not limited to automotive, industrial, construction, agriculture, oil and gas, energy, packaging, appliances, and more. This client has a wide range of solutions for ICE and EV applications.The Sr. Sales Manager/Director - Ford will be tasked with driving global account strategy and regional execution with Ford and Tier 1 suppliers. This person will be the 'CEO' of the Ford account driving strategy, growth, account management, etc. while driving global synergy and global support to the other regions with the Ford account. The Sales Director will manage a team of 3-4 Sales Managers and a Forecasting Analyst.Job Description

Increase market share and development of new business opportunities with Ford for the NA regionBuild strong customer relationships and strategic partnerships to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate productsDevelop strategic roadmaps for key targets and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to grow market share and diverse product portfolioAchieve and exceed Budget Sales and Gross Margin targetsCollaborate with global counterparts in other regions to drive, support and execute overall global account strategy, delivery and quality with FordEnsure all reports, plans, forecasts and administrative requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner both personally and for the teamWork cross functionally with new product development, application engineering, customer service, finance, manufacturing and othersMeet all reporting deadlines as are set by senior managementIdentify new and profitable opportunities with existing customers and leverage these to increase profitable sales with themManage projects from concept to launch on time and within budgetProvide regular and relevant feedback on Market conditions, competitor activities and progress towards business objectivesWork on short, mid, and long term strategy planning and forecasting ranging from 3 months to 10 years outAnalyze the current market position, i.e. the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threatsWorking with the Marketing team develop marketing material, strategies and justify new project opportunities to support the sales effortParticipate in APQP meetings and follow up on commercial and customer related issuesEnsure continuous improvement in a change oriented cultureReport on team members activities and progress while also developing and mentoring team members removing barriers for successThe Successful Applicant

Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or related. Engineering or Technical degree preferred, but not required10 plus years of automotive sales experience calling on OEMs preferable Ford3 plus years of sales management experience leading a sales and support teamDemonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environmentsExperience with steel preferred, but not requiredMust have experience with business development, program launches, and account managementPrior experience working in a global matrix organizationStrong hunter mentality with a strong track record of development new businessAnalytical and organizational skills, high level of attention to detailStrong business acumen and negotiation skillsHigh level of emotional intelligenceExperience working in a global organization preferredWhat's on Offer

Competitive base salary $150,000 - $175,000, bonus, car mileage/program, full benefits, 401K, vacation, holidays, highly visible role globally and in North America. Relocation package offered if needed.
