Regional Operations Director -Manufacturing

A Large manufacturer of valves, generating 70 Million in business for the group both nationally and internationally through injection moulding, high speed, and cellular assemblies.
You will be responsible for 2 sites, overseeing both sites and P&L. Operations and Distribution, controlling 180 staff working (24/7) through 7 Senior Managers. You will be a member of the Board of Directors reporting to the Executive Group Operations Director.
Job PurposeThe purpose of this role is to provide strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing manufacturing and operational strategy/goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost, and delivery. The role aims to maximize efficiency, optimize production levels, and drive operational excellence. You will work closely with internal and external key stakeholders regarding technical support for activities, striving for best-in-class products and business practices to deliver to the customer’s expectations, managing teams and projects across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level.
Knowledge and technical understanding of processes, components, and manufacturing techniques.
Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate, and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
Results-oriented with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets.
Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
