Site Superintendents
who will oversee the installation of projects on a daily basis.These are salaried, full-time positions with benefits.Position Overview:
The Site Superintendent will oversee the installation projects on a daily basis. S/he will assist with the supervision of all onsite work, supervise/coordinate with all trade labor and subcontractors, and interface with the owner, architect, local officials, technicians, and others. S/he will be required to take ownership and manage each project in its entirety, from overall site supervision to finished project details.Additional duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Review contract documents to determine appropriate installation methods and sequencing.Plan project pre-construction, layout and sequence of activities and schedule.Prepare daily logs for construction activities and daily project reports.Coordinate with project team and building trades for the preparation and processing of project documentation, including submittals, RFI’s, and Change Order requests.Manage Dexter crew, sub-contractors, vendors/suppliers, landscape architects, and change orders.Manage labor allocation and driver/delivery tasks.Quality control from job start to job close out.Point of contact for field staff with problem-solving.Participate in client meetings as needed.Ensure job safety standards and code compliance at all times.Comply with and enforce all company policies.Deliver the project on time and budget.EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:The company realizes that every interested candidate might not have all of the desired experience, but here is what they are looking for in terms of experience and skills… the more you have, the better!Five years of relevant work experience in landscape and/or project supervision/management; at least two years of high-end landscapes, including residential.Strong ability to manage and layout all subcontractors’ work.Ability to read and understand construction documents, schedules, and cost reports.History of completing projects within budget and schedule.Must work well with all types of personalities and know how to get the best out of your crew.Organized and detail-oriented.ATTRIBUTES/CAPABILITIES:High standards; excellent work ethic.Excellent customer service attitude; personable.Confident in making informed decisions.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a team. Offers solutions and takes direction well.Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.Interested in continuous improvement, both in teaching/mentoring others and being mentored.Organized, methodical, and process-oriented.Physical ability required for frequent lifting or handling of materials, and walking varied terrain of job sites.Must have great references from prior supervisors.Clean DMV and active CDL and reliable transportation.EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:All education is beneficial.
