PAC Job ID PacArctic, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Intermediate Network Security Engineer with a Secret clearance to support PAC and our government customer in Arlington, VA. This role is to provide quality and comprehensive IT support to the OIG in an effective and efficient manner with a vision to maintain IT operations commensurate with industry best practices, while ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of OIG data.Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties

Demonstrates subject matter expertise (5–7 years) in network security engineering.Monitoring LAN ports switches for servers and interconnectivity between the switches and other network devices.Demonstrates subject matter expertise in the areas of Routing, Switching, Remote access, Security Information, Event management, and Next Generation Firewalls with product specific knowledge of Cisco and Juniper Switches, and Palo Alto Networks Firewalls.Management of virtual private network (VPN) solution that allows remote End Users to securely connect to the network and Application Services over the internet.Provides Operations and Maintenance for all onsite components, all external connections (VPNs), all routing and switching environments, the Next Generation Firewall, the Remote access solution, and Security Information Event Management.Provides Network and Security engineering support for internal systems integration projects such as cloud–based services, VOIP, virtualized infrastructure, server and storage environment.Respond to and remediate the efforts of malicious activity and intrusions as defined in the Incident Management process.Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certifications preferred.Secret Clearance required.10+ years of experience with LAN and WAN hardware including Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto, Load Balancing, cable and rack management.5+ years routing, troubleshooting engineering, and network architecture experience required.5+ years of experience in analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing and/or maintaining the components of an enterprise network.3+ years of experience in administering Palo Alto Networks firewalls.IPv6 administration experience required.1+ years of experience with Zero–Trust VPN solutions.Knowledge of network security best practices.Ability to manage projects, take ownership and execute objectives in order to meet deadlines.Effective written and verbal communication.Deep understanding of network protocols – IPSEC, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, Multi–link Point2Point, DHCP, SNMP, TCP, UDP.VOIP experience preferred.SD–WAN experience preferred.Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
