We are committed to respecting individuality, embracing diversity, being 'student-ready,' and serving our community inclusively.Job Description:Dutchess Community College is seeking part-time Certified Nurse Aide Instructors to help implement and coordinate our new credit-free program. This position is part-time day and/or evening up to 25 hours per week.Responsibilities:Instruct the CNA Curriculum in the classroom, the lab, and supervise clinical.Direct secondary lab and/or clinical instructor for class cohorts that exceed eight students.Ensure all student health records are completed and uniforms are appropriate prior to students going to clinical placements.Assist with the ordering of books, uniforms, and supplies.Attend job and career fairs and open houses to promote the program.Attend department and staff meetings as required.Requirements:Current non-expired New York State Registered Professional Nurse License Number and documentation.One of the following:Certification to teach Nurse Assistant trainees or Practical Nursing;Two years of experience teaching nurse assistants in a residential health care facility;Three years of experience teaching nursing or nursing-related programs to adults in an academic setting approved by the Commissioner of Education;Completion of a New York State approved 'Train the Trainer' program.Two years of experience caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill.Ability to meet and maintain the technical standards of the program.Additional, Preferred Qualifications:Three or more years of supervisory experience;Three or more years of instructional experience;Availability to teach three or more days/evenings per week for the duration of the course.Application Instructions:To apply please submit application, resume, and cover letter.Applications from minorities, veterans, the disabled, and all others are encouraged (AA/EOE).Dutchess Community College is an equal opportunity employer.
