Job Description - Assistant or Associate Professor - General Pediatrics (Adolescent) (23000001BN)This full-time clinician educator position includes clinical care, teaching of residents and medical students, as well as other academic pursuits and educational and research opportunities. The ideal candidate for this position must be an Adolescent Medicine Trained physician. Responsibilities for the position include providing outpatient adolescent services for University Le Bonheur Pediatric Specialists (ULPS) and an externally affiliated residential behavioral health center.This is a non-tenure position.Responsibilities include:Education and teachingResearchClinical care, including supervision of residents, fellows, and studentsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Requires an MD or equivalent degreeBoard certified or Board eligible in Pediatrics. Fellowship trained in Adolescent Medicine. Board certified or Board eligible in Adolescent Medicine.Must be able to obtain a State of Tennessee medical licenseDEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES:Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatrics. Fellowship trained in Adolescent Medicine. The opportunity to join an established adolescent program within the Division of General Pediatrics, including an established eating disorders program and strong outpatient centered care. Potential for inpatient consultative services as well. Providing outpatient clinical adolescent care at an affiliated residential behavioral center. Eating disorders program includes psychology and nutrition support. Specialty skills sought in eating disorders, reproductive health, gender diverse care, HIV/PrEP, mental and behavioral health, and substance use disorders. Potential to conduct education in research in these areas. Robust research support if desired.Job
