The Director of Development for the Museum Of Contemporary Art is responsible for all development activities.Job Function:

Leads all aspects of individual giving, including identifying, cultivating, and maintaining major donors. Researches and connects with foundations, corporations, and government sources to expand support. Initiates and implements fundraising efforts for special projects. Writes solicitation proposals and prepares annual budget, revenue, and expenses for the department. Works effectively with community stakeholders and cultivates relationships through educational opportunities. Prepares and presents reports to the Development Committee. Oversees special event fundraising opportunities with the MOCA staff. Ensures compliance with the Museum’s mission, policy, and procedures, and upholds AAM guidelines.Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a directly related area of specialization and three years of experience directly related to the job functions.Departmental Requirements:

Related experience may include fundraising, volunteer board management, external sales, or business development. Experience working with donors and high net-worth individuals is preferred. Strong strategic thinking, tactical implementation skills, and budgeting acumen are required. Appreciation for arts and culture is preferred.Statement(s) of Understanding Definition:
