Job Description - Grants & Contracts Specialist (24003559)Grants & Contracts SpecialistThe Department of Surgery is seeking a Grants & Contracts Specialist with a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in the fields of research accounting, and pre-award and post-award administration financial analysis. Monthly duties will include reconciliation of contract and grant and departmental accounts, running reports, expense and revenue recordings, expense approval, and maintaining accurate data, as well as ensuring that department spreadsheets are up to date.Job SummaryPerforms pre- and post-award accounting duties for small grants and contracts. Prepares, negotiates, and monitors grants and contracts. Assists with maintaining award-related schedules, preparing government applications and reports, and policy and procedure interpretation. Monitors account activity and prepares routine financial documents.Essential FunctionsMust perform complex analytical skills and techniques and have computer skills; in particular, use of various financial databases.
