Auburn and Roseville, CaliforniaPOSITION SUMMARY:Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director, and the direct supervision of the Clinical Program Manager, the AMFT/ACSW is responsible for providing quality clinical treatment services to clients according to established policies and procedures as determined by professionally accepted standards as identified by the Board of Behavioral Services (BBS). The AMFT/ACSW will assist in the implementation of program activities in keeping with agency stated goals and objectives, facilitate effective communication within the organization, work collaboratively with staff members, and represent the agency in a professional manner.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide clinical treatment services to children and families necessary for the successful operation of individual, family and/or group counseling. Develop and evaluate processes for clinical programs, coordinate with non-clinical programs within the agency, and with the Case Manager, and community representation of the agency’s clinical programs as needed. Participate in weekly group and individual supervision and carry an assigned case load as determined by the Clinical Program Manager and in keeping with other job duties.Provide quality client assessment, plan development, linkages and consultation, assistance in accessing services, crisis assistance planning, and periodic review to address family support needs of the client. Maintain confidential and accurate records with professional integrity and decorum; report data as required to evaluate the needs of the client and the effectiveness of program services.Facilitate/co-facilitate parent education classes and/or social skills groups as determined by the supervisor. This may include some evenings and/or weekends.Coordinate, attend, participate in, and/or facilitate meetings and trainings, as directed. Utilize appropriate methods of communication, internally and externally.Perform other duties as required. Promote agency within the community to referring agencies, community partners, and governmental departments as appropriate.Position Qualifications:Education:Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Marriage Family Therapy, Social Work, and/or other advanced counseling degree in behavioral science required.Must be registered with the State of California Behavioral Board of Sciences (BBS), license eligible.Persons selected for a position must produce a copy of their degrees.Experience:Two + years of experience providing early-intervention, grief family, and child counseling.Experience in a variety of assessments, treatment planning, and counseling issues.Ability to abide by agency standards of professional ethics.Skills:Fluency in Spanish/English preferred.Ability to receive supervision and work independently, problem solve and be solution-oriented.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive rapport with children, youth, and teens and their parents; effectively communicate issues to families.Knowledge and skill working with diverse populations.Display a positive, outgoing, and flexible professional demeanor and be resourceful, non-judgmental, and tactful in dealing with both children and adults.Ability to provide counseling to children, adolescents, and family sessions.Demonstrated ability to lead or co-lead therapeutic or educational support groups, as needed.Develop diagnosis and treatment plans on all opened client cases and complete all required clinical documentation.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from parents or community.Represent the agency to other agencies, community organizations, or groups as assigned.Demonstrate good organizational skills.Ability to write reports and correspondence.Ability to work at least one evening a week.Ability to perform CPR and First Aid.Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Word.Ability to pass TB Test and background check/fingerprint clearances.Ability to travel throughout the Sacramento – Sierra region, automobile, valid CA driver’s license, proof of insurance, and good driving record required.Other duties as assigned.Essential Job Functions:Sit for 6 – 8 hours at a time, kneeling, squatting, standing, and bending.Typing and computer work.Lift up to 10 pounds.Drive a vehicle.Command of the English language.Good judgment.SALARY AND BENEFITS:
