A law firm is seeking a Junior-Level Energy Associate Attorney for its Albany, NY office.Job Overview:
The Junior-Level Energy Associate Attorney will support the firm's energy practice with a focus on regulatory matters and transactional work. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience, excellent academic credentials, and strong communication and client service skills.Duties:
Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on energy-related regulatory issues.Assist in drafting and negotiating energy-related agreements, including power purchase agreements, leases, and permits.Participate in due diligence activities for energy project transactions.Support senior attorneys in client meetings, hearings, and negotiations.Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings and compliance documentation.Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Admission to the New York State Bar.1-3 years of relevant experience in energy law preferred.Excellent academic credentials, including a strong academic record.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.Education & Certifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Admission to the New York State Bar.Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong research and analytical skills.Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.Proficiency in legal research databases and software.Familiarity with energy law and regulations preferred.Ability to collaborate with colleagues and interact effectively with clients.
