Project DesignerKFA is seeking enthusiastic, creative, and critical thinkers to join our collaborative design practice as a

Project Designer.Mission:

KFA reshapes LA by designing great places where people flourish.Duties And Responsibilities

Responsible for initiating and coordinating project design vision;Develop multiple design options through an iterative and collaborative design process; working independently or with a team;Act as steward of the design throughout all phases of the project;Prepare design presentations and packages for client and community meetings;Receive and implement design critique feedback from clients and team members.Desired Skills And Experience

Five to ten years of experience;Licensure preferred but not required;Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program;Strong design intuition and ability to provide design critique;Knowledge of Types I, III, & V construction including mixed-use, community and residential projects;Proficiency in Sketchup or Rhino, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) preferred;Working knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and building construction;Ability to manage and mentor junior staff;Excellent communication and graphic skills.KFA provides architecture, design, and master planning services for projects throughout the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area using a collaborative approach with each project.
