Position – The College of Public Health and Human Sciences at Oregon State University invites applications for one faculty member with expertise in Biostatistics. This position is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 9-month tenure-track appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.Qualifications – Required qualifications include: a doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, or closely related field; demonstrated expertise in public health as reflected by training, research, teaching and/or service aligned with the vision and mission of the College; a demonstrable commitment to high teaching standards; and a desire to work collaboratively with colleagues in the School, the College, and the University. The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of (Associate Professor) or the potential to (Assistant Professor): develop strong independent and collaborative programs of research; secure external funding; deliver high-quality teaching, advising, and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate levels; and provide service to the School, College, University, and profession. Relevant post-doctoral experience, successful mentoring of junior faculty (Associate Professor), evidence of effective communication, interest and experience in online education, and a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity are preferred.Responsibilities – Develop and maintain independent and collaborative research programs; consistently obtain external funding; advance the University’s research agenda in biostatistics; teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biostatistics; advise and mentor MPH and PhD students; provide service to the University, profession, and field of public health.Application Procedures – To apply, visit
